Kindergarten
Welcome to Kindergarten! Here, we continue to build on the foundation of academic success and lifelong learning that was set in Pre-Kindergarten/Early Childhood Special Education. Our program focuses on developing literacy skills, math skills, physical and motor skills, as well as social-emotional development. Through engaging activities and our specialized approach, your child will have the necessary skills to succeed. The teachers will send home daily folders that will contain your child's behavior, homework, finished papers, and/or notes from school. Please review this nightly! It is our way to communicate with you and you can communicate with your child's teacher.
Daily Folder
Please ensure you are reviewing your child's daily folder each night! This folder contains important information regarding their behavior, homework, completed work, and any notes from school. It is an important way for us to communicate with you and for you to connect with your child's teacher.
Homework
Homework is essential in helping students develop and master the skills they learn in the classroom throughout the year. It is important to check your child's folder every day to ensure they stay up to date with any homework assignments or papers sent home.
Reading with your child on a regular basis is a great way to build their reading skills. Practicing sight words will help improve their reading fluency. Asking them questions about the story can help them understand what they are reading better.
