Assistant Principal
Evangerline Wormley
Ms. Wormley has been a dedicated educator and instructional leader for over 35 years, serving school communities across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Washington Adventist University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Capella University.
Since beginning her career in 1988, she has taught elementary and middle school students. Her experience includes teaching Math and other subjects, as well as leadership roles such as Grade-level Lead, Math Department Lead, Peer Coach, Summer School Administrator, and Administrator Substitute for Essex County Public Schools.
Previously, she served as the Extended Learning Opportunities Program Coordinator in Prince George's County and as the 21st Century Community Learning Center Administrator in DC, where she established the first Summer Education, Arts, and Sports program at McGogney Elementary.
Ms. Wormley believes in creating nurturing, safe, student-centered environments where each child is recognized and supported as a unique learner. She is excited to collaborate with the Tappahannock Elementary School community in her role as Assistant Principal.
