Specials

Tappahannock Elementary School students attend "Special Classes" everyday. Here are some of the great things your child will be doing when they attend these classes.

Art

Students are given an opportunity for personal expression and creativity while attending art class. Art projects allow TES students to help develop their fine motor skills.

Library

There are over 13,000 books and materials for students and teachers to check out. At the TES library students are taught information literacy skills and have SOL related lessons that are aligned with their classroom curriculum. Make sure books are returned on time.

Physical Education

In physical education class (P.E.) students will develop a love of being active for a lifetime by developing physical skills, understanding and increasing personal fitness, valuing others, and feeling confident about themselves and their skills to try new activities in different settings.
